James E. Robinson Jr., age 70, of Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. James was a lifelong Bridgeport resident and a retired plumber for the University of Bridgeport. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and enjoyed an active social life. James is survived by his beloved family; mother, Kathryne M. Robinson of Bridgeport, dear friend and former wife, Alejandrina Cruz of Bridgeport, daughter, Sheila Robinson and Trevor Smith of Easton, CT, son, Jose M. Abrante, brother Eugene of Bridgeport and grandchildren, James M. Nelson, Deja A. Smith, Jose M. Abrante Jr., Kai and Alex; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, James E. Robinson Sr., son, James E. Robinson III and a sister, Betty Ann. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
