Janet Higgins Reddy, 87, of Trumbull, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Reddy for 63 years of marriage. Born on April 20, 1927, in Caldwell, N.J., she graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in Caldwell and The Drakes School of Business in Montclair, N.J. Mrs. Reddy worked as a clerk stenographer at Essex County Overbrook Hospital, a psychiatric hospital in Cedar Grove, N.J., accompanying the doctors on their rounds to visit patients, taking notes and updating their charts. Survivors include three daughters, Susan Mucherino and her husband, Kenneth, of Monroe, Margaret Dupnik and her husband, John, of Shaftsbury, Vt., and Mary Davidow and her husband, Bernard, of Longmeadow, Mass.; eight grandchildren, Christine (Paul) Laedke, Erin (Domenic) Cusanelli, Kathryn Dupnik, Ben (Barbara) Dupnik, and Michael (Erin) Davidow, Linda (Matt) Doyle, Janet (Alex) Miller and Elizabeth Davidow; eight great-grandchildren, Amber, Amanda, Sofia, Dominic, Joseph, Jack, Evelyn and Emily; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her parents, Margaret Whitney Ayres and William Hilton Higgins, and her brother, Walter G. Higgins II. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Grace Episcopal Church, 5958 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet her family on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
