Janice "Jan" Marie Freddino, of Bridgeport, died peacefully on October 10, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jan was born on February 8, 1964, in Bridgeport, CT. She later lived in Monroe with her family for 28 years and more recently moved to the Black Rock section of Bridgeport.

Jan earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Fairfield University. She started her career in public accounting where she earned her CPA and then worked for many years at the Louis Dreyfus Company. She ended her career in the information technology department at Fairfield University.

Jan's life was always centered around family. She lived her life with joy and had a tremendous wit and sense of humor. She was a talented musician, writer and composer who also loved painting, pottery and baking her famous gingerbread cookies. Her positive attitude was infectious, and she had a deep connection with those she loved. Her presence, creativity and positive influence will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Jan is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, F. Edward Nicolas Jr., and their daughter Sara Freddino Nicolas and son Francis Edward Nicolas III. She is also survived by her parents Michael and Barbara Freddino; her brother Michael Freddino III (Seth Glassman); her sister Julie Freddino (Chris Snyder); a great aunt and several cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Burial will take place during a private service at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport, CT. Those who wish to honor her may make a donation in her memory to Fairfield University's Bellarmine Campus or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
