Jean Powers Keating, 90, formerly of Bridgeport and Fairfield passed away April 27, 2015 at Cambridge Manor Nursing Home. She worked for many years in the payroll department at Columbia Records. When the company relocated from CT to NYC, she moved to the Warner Lambert Company where she worked until her retirement in 1990. Throughout her life, she was surrounded by a close circle of wonderful friends. They played bridge together regularly and they spent many happy evenings at the Irish Club in Fairfield and at her favorite restaurant, the Andros Diner in Fairfield. She will be missed by her many cousins who always looked forward to her frequent visits to Tyler Lake in Goshen, CT. She always arrived with a family-favorite dish - her famous "shrimp dip". For our family, holiday traditions did not truly begin until the arrival of "Kissing Cousin Jean". She exuded love and warmth with her hearty laugh and cut-to-the-chase sense of humor. Jean took great pride in her sense of style and enjoyed keeping up with the times at any age. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Catherine Fraher Keating and by her brother, John (Jack) Keating. Her family would like to thank the staff at Cambridge Manor for her great care over these last several years. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, at 11:00a.m., in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private in St. Michael's Cemetery. To send online condolences please visit www.redgatehennessy.com
