Joan Marie Carpenter, age 92, a lifelong Bridgeport resident passed away December 30, 2025, in The Carolton Chronic and Convalescent Hospital, Fairfield. Joan was the daughter of the late William and Juliet Hudak Carpenter. She retired from SNET as an operator at their Bridgeport and Derby locations. Joan was very active with the church and a choir member. She loved celebrating holidays and birthdays with family and friends and especially liked birthday cake. Her family and friends treasured those memories she created with her Polaroid camera. She is survived by a brother James R. Carpenter and his wife Judy of FL, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, William D., Robert L., John J., and Kenneth A. Carpenter. A Solemn Requiem Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 9, 2026, at 11:00a.m., meeting directly in Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church, 79 Church Street, Bridgeport.
