Joan N. Hoyt, age 91 of Bridgeport, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 5, 2024. Born in Danbury and a life-long resident of Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Norma Neubauer. Joan had many passions as she was an avid bowler, loved to read books and always had a jigsaw puzzle ready to solve. She also loved going to the casino and playing the penny slots. Joan leaves behind her four sons, Robert F. Hoyt and wife Mary, Richard S. Hoyt, David E. Hoyt and wife Ann and Scott A. Hoyt and wife Adrienne, along with eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, brothers Kenneth and Mark Neubauer and many nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband Frederick E. Hoyt, Jr., four brothers and two sisters Robert, Layne, George, and Richard Neubauer, Sandra Cubelli, and Claire Sobkowich.
