Joan M. Gerte Kaesmann, age 85 died Friday, July 28, 2023 at Shelton Lakes. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent F. Kaesmann. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Emma Kaechele Gerte. She was a lifelong Bridgeport resident. She retired from Connecticut Heart and Vascular. She was involved with Calvary St. George's Episcopal Church, Bridgeport and Naugatuck Valley Relay for Life. She is survived by her loving children, Margaret Samatulski and Stephen Poulin, Thomas Kaesmann and Barbara Gonzalez, and Robert Kaesmann and his wife Carol, eight grandchildren, Patricia Marini and her husband Vincent, Jillian Okrentowich and her husband, Matthew, Amanda Prater and her husband, Christopher, Evan Kaesmann and Abby Gardner, Jake Kaesmann and his wife, Chelsea, Emma Mavilla, and her husband, Peter, Zachary Kaesmann, Sean Poulin and his wife, Samantha, eleven great grandchildren, Dante, Gia, and Vincent Marini, Arthur Okrentowich, Penelope and Charlotte Prater, Lucas Kaesmann, Cody Kaesmann, Ariella and Carter Mavilla, Piper Poulin, sister-in-law, Jean Wildman, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Her family wishes to thank her amazing caregivers at Shelton Lakes especially Robert, Accent Care Hospice and her personal caregiver Lynda Cyr. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds.
