Joanne Buchanan Harrison, age 78 beloved wife of the late Carlton D. Harrison and a resident of Masonicare in Newtown passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2010, after a prolonged illness. Born in Steubenville, OH, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Opal Smith Buchanan. She was employed as an administrative assistant at the former Merchants Bank.  She will be remembered as a beloved mother and grandmother and is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Harrison of Mystic, sons, Jeffrey Harrison and his wife Diane of Trumbull and Mark Harrison and his wife Maribel of Fairfield, seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Timothy, Mark, Matthew, Jennifer, Ian, and Devin Harrison. She was predeceased by her sister Marjorie Llewellyn. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 10:00am in St. Stephen's Church, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial.
