Johanna Schons Micanovic, age 90, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Peter Micanovic, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly. Johanna was born in Trier, Germany and was the daughter of the late Wienad and Anna Holstein Schons. She resided in Bridgeport until she moved to Trumbull over twenty five years ago. She formerly worked at Aerosal Technique and Pantry Pride. Johanna loved to cook, read mystery novels, knit, crochet, and spend time with her family. She is survived by seven loving children, Heinz Brodesser (Monica) of Morris, Fred Micanovic (Carolyn) of Southington, William Micanovic (Rose) of Shelton, Peter Micanovic Jr. of Bethany, Marlene Caraglior (Richard) of Stratford, Anne Marie Davis (Robert) of Trumbull and Evelyn Workiewicz (Russell) of Shelton, fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull.
