Dr. John Richard Braun, age 88 of Bridgeport passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 in his home. He was the beloved husband of Lenore Musielski Braun for 38 years. Born in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of John Braun and Nellie Thompson Braun and was a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School. John served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Korea and received his PhD from University of California, Berkeley. He was a Full Tenured Professor and Psychology Department Chair at the University of Bridgeport (1960-1991) and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Connecticut and New York. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, John Braun Jr., his sister Virginia Noguere and his nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 12:00p.m. (Noon), in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport.
