John P. Curry, age 91 of Trumbull, beloved husband of Mary Salamon Curry passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of William H. Curry and Mary Catherine Ross Curry.

Jack was a retired 7th and 8th Grade School Teacher for the City of Bridgeport. He was a mentor to fellow teachers and his teaching skills influenced many. Jack connected with countless kids throughout the years and changed their lives for the better.

In his free time Jack was a home builder and mechanic. He was always eager to help others with a project or repair. In his lifetime Jack built seven homes for family and friends, including a vacation home in Vermont where his family became deeply rooted in the skiing lifestyle

In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his children, Karen and Paul Kaplita, Jack Jr. and Maureen Curry, Sheila Donahue, Suzanne and Craig Schultz, and Joe Curry, his daughter-in-law Kelly Nilan Curry, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Curry.
