John T. Heagney Jr. formerly of Simsbury and Avon passed away at his home in Trumbull on Monday, October 11, 2021. He was 72 years old. John was the son of the late Jack and Jean Heagney of Simsbury and brother to Diane Brittell, Robert Heagney and the late Matthew Heagney. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Barbara and Marty and several nieces and nephews. John only wants to be remembered for his proudest achievements in life; his 44 year marriage to his wife, Gaylan and his sons, John and Michael who blessed him with the best daughters-in-law a man could have, Elizabeth Ann and Nicole Anne. What completed his happiness were his grandchildren; John and Elizabeth's children, Sydney Lynn and Henry George and Michael and Nicole's son, Robert Michael. In his words "I have the complete package." In accordance with his wishes there will be no service or interment.
