John J. (Jack) Keating, age 83, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Vera B. Mikulics Keating, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in his home. Jack was born in Bridgeport, August 27, 1929, son of the late Edward J. and Catherine Fraher Keating. He served fifteen years with the CT National Guard retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant and was active duty overseas during the Korean War. Jack retired as a manager for Kaman Industrial Tech Corp, Windsor and previously was credit manager for Tex Ball Bearing. An avid golfer, he played at the Fairchild Wheeler Golf Club and was proud of his five holes in one during his career. Survivors include a sister, Jean Keating of Fairfield, brother-in-law, Michael Mikulics and his wife Marilyn of San Clemente, CA, a niece and several nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday May 29, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport, CT 06606. Burial will be private.
