John A. Lannon, age 88, passed away peacefully in his home in Stratford on August 11, 2018.  Born and raised in Bridgeport, CT, John was the son of the late William and Mary Lannon.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Patricia Cleary Lannon.  They were longtime residents of Fairfield, CT where they raised their family.  John loved nothing more than his family. He leaves behind his three children Patrice A. Lannon, John Cleary Lannon and Eileen Lannon Blees and her husband, George, all of Fairfield. He will be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren, Makenzie and John Wyatt Lannon and Brendan Cleary Dee Blees.  He was predeceased by his infant grandson, Corrigan Lannon Blees.  He is also survived by his brother, William Lannon and his family. Working for over sixty years as a manufacturer's representative in the kitchen and bath industry, John was owner and president of Lannon Associates.  He was a proud graduate of St Augustine's School in Bridgeport, Fairfield College Preparatory School in Fairfield (Class of 1948) and Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg, Maryland. In addition to time spent with his family, John enjoyed time well spent with friends near and far and was active in his community.  John was known for his engaging storytelling and his ability to make those around him instantly feel connected.  His sense of humor and generosity will be greatly missed by his family and friends. John's family would like to sincerely thank Claudette, Lane, Nelly, Novlette and Stephanie for the excellent care and compassion they provided him these past ten months. John was very proud to have had three generations of his family graduate from Fairfield Prep.  He was a loyal friend to the Jesuit community and a strong believer in the "Men for Others" values they upheld.  As a result, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Fairfield Prep 1073 North Benson Road Fairfield CT in honor of the Rev. Thomas A. Murphy, S.J. Memorial Scholarship Fund. Friends may greet the family at Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and 4 Gorham Place Trumbull on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 4:00p.m.  to 8:00p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:30a.m., at Fairfield University's Egan Chapel of St. Ignatius Loyola.  Interment will immediately follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery 1530 Bronson Road Fairfield.
