John M. Ligouri, age 98 of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Martha Solivoda Ligouri passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024. John was born in Bridgeport, son of the late James and Catherine Anniello Ligouri and was a retired truck driver for Spector Freight and a member of the Teamsters Local 191. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his devoted children John J. (Jay) Ligouri and wife Laura of Trumbull, and Janice Ligouri Arnold of Bridgeport, two cherished grandchildren John P. and Kaitlyn M. Ligouri, two brothers Armondo Ligouri of Florida and Raymond Ligouri of Maine, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters Rose, Louis, James, Jean, Madeline, George, Joseph, Anthony, Virginia (Dolly), and Thomas. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00a.m., from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and 4 Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 11:00a.m., in St. Theresa Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call Friday from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m., in the funeral home.
