John D.  Packer has left the building.

He joyfully goes to join his beloved wife, Agnes, who passed away October 19, 2012.  They were married November 23, 1946.  You do the math.

John was a veteran of WWII.  He served in submarines in the South Pacific.  He retired from United Illuminating Company after an engineering career for 37 and a half years.

He is survived by three daughters, one son, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Claudia.  They and their spouses will not be listed here, as they already know who they are.

There are no calling hours.  Any services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Connecticut Hospice or Griffin Hospital Building Fund.
