John Francis Pinto, 56, of Greenwich, CT, died January 14, 2014. He was born in Bridgeport, CT on April 22, 1957. He was predeceased by his parents,  Frank and Muriel (Fitzpatrick) Pinto of Bridgeport, CT. John is survived by his sister, Karen Pinto Kastner, her husband Matthew of Newtown, CT and their son Paul of Oakland, CA; three foster siblings, Sharon  Unwin (Ventura, CA), Dana  Mastri and his wife, Heike (Naugatuck, CT)and Carol Mastri (Bridgeport, CT),  and Thomas Kush and family, O'Fallon, IL. He is also  survived by his "family" at the Cross Ridge group home run by Abilis, an agency for developmentally disabled people,  where he happily lived and worked since 1994. John loved working in the greenhouse at Abilis. He also loved catsup (on everything!), pizza, flirting with the ladies and telling corny jokes. Internment will be private and arrangements are being handled by Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Trumbull, CT. Friends and family may call at the home of John's sister, Karen and her husband Mat on Sunday, January 19th from 1:00-5:00pm.
