John B. Wassing, age 90 of Bridgeport, husband of Elva Turner Wassing, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018, in St. Joseph's Center, Trumbull. John was born in Bridgeport, son of the late William H. and Anna B. Jensen Wassing. He was an Army Veteran and retired from United States Postal Service. John was a member of the American Postal Workers Union. In addition to his wife he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Howard Wassing. Graveside services with full military honors will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., meeting directly in Mountain Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Avenue, Bridgeport.
