Joseph Perry, age 85 of Bridgeport, CT passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Bridgeport Hospital. Joe was a life long resident of Bridgeport and was born to the late John and Anna Perry. He worked as a patient care tech at Bridgeport Hospital for over 30 years. He served in the Korean War as an MP and also drove a school bus for many years. In his spare time, Joe enjoyed drawing and singing and often created murals at Bridgeport Hospital as a volunteer and even had the honor of accepting the Humanitarian award from them. Joe will be remembered by family and friends for his kind heart and sense of humor. Survivors include his wife, his "Baby Doll" Retta Perry, step-daughter Erica Ciccone and her husband Matt, step-son Grant MacCracken, his girlfriend Melanie Caines and daughter Mackenzie Balogh. Other survivors include his sisters-in-law Anna Perry, Vicky Perry and former sister-in-law and friend Sue Perry, as well as his brothers-in-law John Silveira and fiance' Cristina Giannattasio, and Joseph Silveira (Suzanne). Joe will also be missed by his cherished nieces and nephews, Laura Lyons (Joseph), Jacquelynn Perry, Charles Bennett (Mary), John J. Perry, Jr. (Gretchen), Jon Perry (Janice), Jordan Perry and Jeffrey Perry, along with several great nieces and nephews, friends and extended family. In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his siblings, John Perry, John J. Perry, Sr., Joseph Perry, Olivia Marshall, Mary Pinto, Manny Perry, Serafin Perry, a niece, Victoria Sherman and his first wife, Phyllis Perry. The family of Joseph Perry would like to thank the staff of Bridgeport Hospital for all of your help in caring for Joe and for all of your kindness. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11:00a.m., in the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
