Julie M. Brown, age 54, passed away August 22, 2013. Julie was born in Bridgeport, where she lived most of her life, the cherished daughter of Mary and Bob Brown. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her uncle George Brown, her sisters Teri Brown and Martha and husband John Bilski, and nephew and niece Jack and Tess Bilski. She also leaves beloved cousins, friends who are like family, and her Broadhurst Manor and Kennedy Center communities. She was predeceased by her grandparents George and Frances Geaney, and George and Margaret Brown, her aunt and uncle Eileen and Bob Kelly. Julie graduated from the New York Institute for the Education of the Blind and was a long time Kennedy Center consumer. She loved her family, friends, good food, and keeping busy with travel and community experiences. The family would like to thank the nurses, technicians and staff at Bridgeport Hospital, particularly on Tower 7, for their tremendous kindness. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00a.m., meeting directly in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by her cousin Msgr. J. James Cuneo. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4p.m. to 8p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
