June Margaret Reck Murray age 79 of Trumbull passed away peacefully Friday, October 10, 2008 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the beloved wife of William Phelps Murray and the devoted mother and grandmother of her daughter, Kathy Murray, son Ken Murray and his wife Kazumi and their children, Amy and Canaan, daughter Janet Polseno and her husband Mark and their children Melissa and Sandy, daughter Laura Panettieri and her husband Chris and their children, Kimberly and Matthew, daughter Susan Quinn and her husband Tom and their children Kelly, Julia, and Amanda. June was born in Bridgeport on May 27, 1929 daughter of the late Albert Francis Reck and Mildred Agnes Rowe Reck. She grew up in Seaside Village and attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Bassick High School Class of 1946. She married her husband Bill, July 29, 1950 and they lived together in Honolulu, Hawaii where he was stationed for a year. She then devoted many years of her life raising her five children. She was employed at Hartford Accident and Indemnity, the March of Dimes and as a legal secretary. She volunteered at the Jewish Home for the Elderly and many other organizations. June enjoyed travelling to Ireland, the Virgin Islands and all over the U.S. attending 33 Navy reunions with Bill. She was an avid bridge player for most of life. They spent summers at Candlewood Lake in the home Bill and she built along with their family. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00am directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove of Easton Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 3:30pm – 7:30pm in the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
