Karen L. Forstrom Young, age 82 of Oxford, beloved wife of the late Charles S. Young, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at The Pines at Bristol Center for Health and Rehabilitation. Karen was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Harry and Virginia Barton Forstrom and resided in Fairfield for thirty-five years before moving to Oxford. She was a retired Administrative Assistant for Richardson Vicks and enjoyed sewing and gardening. Survivors include her devoted daughter Christine L. Young of Oxford, a son Michael C. Young and wife Karen and their daughter Adele of Rush, NY, a sister Nancy Siwy of West Hartford and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother-in-law Alice Sabanosh, sisters-in-law Susan (Charlie) Evans and Connie (Bob) Laskowski. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at The Pines at Bristol. Services will be private with interment in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
