Katerina Nassagna Baze, age 88 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Vasil Baze, passed away, Monday, February 27, 2012 in her home surrounded by her family. Katerina was born in Thessalonika, Greece on August 15, 1923. Katerina along with her husband were the owners of North Main Superette, and she later retired after 23 years of service as Dietary Supervisor at The Carolton Chronic & Convalescent Hospital. Survivors in addition to her husband Vasil of 67 years, include, her devoted son Dennis Baze of Bridgeport, two grandsons James and William Baze, a brother Alex Nassagna of Greece, and dear friends Patricia and Rhonda, who gave Katerina loving care. She was predeceased by her son James Baze. A Rite of Burial will be held Wednesday at 11:00a.m., in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Avenue Bridgeport, with Father Andreas Vithoulkas, Presbyter, officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove-Easton Cemetery. Friends may greet the family Wednesday morning after 10:00a.m., in the Church.
