Katherine Roscoe Bowen, age 90 of Bridgeport died Monday, September 1, 2008 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late John Bowen and daughter of the late Wesley and Katherine Hermann Roscoe. Mrs. Bowen was born in Bridgeport and was a retired secretary at General Electric. She was also a member of the G.E. Quarter Century Club. She is survived by her stepdaughter, Janet Turbert and her husband Edward, two grandsons, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, John, Joseph, Wesley and Harold Roscoe, and five sisters, Emma Yanosik, Lillian Stawarky, Susan Rimkunas, Margaret Krysinski, and Irene Gribko. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00am in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment of her ashes will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. At her request there will be no calling hours.
