Katherine Lennon Carney, age 82 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late M. Murray Carney passed away, Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Kate was the daughter of the late James and Clotilde Lennon, wife of the late M. Murray Carney, Sr., sister to Martha Edwards and to the late Gaynor Lennon, sister-in-law to Judith Thompson, mother of Karen DeMauro, Melinda Koyanis, Gretchen Ayoub, and Judith T. Craig; grandmother to Aristos Koyanis, Mark and Corinne Ayoub, and Jamien Craig; great grandmother to Zephyros and Marina Koyanis, aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Kate was a lifelong resident of the Bridgeport area and a dental hygienist for the City of Bridgeport for many years. She treasured her many friendships since childhood.  Her legacy is how much she meant to her beloved friends and family. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00a.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
