Kenneth Joseph Surina, age 77, a lifelong Bridgeport resident, died unexpectedly in his home, Friday, November 21, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Carole Christy Surina and the son of the late Joseph and Mary Surina. Ken was a graduate of St. Michael's Elementary School, Bullard Haven Technical School and Norwalk Technical School. He then served in the Army. Ken proudly served in the National Honor Guard during the Vietnam War. He spent his entire professional career at the Olin Corporation. He was also a lifelong parishioner of St. Michael's and Our Lady of Assumption. There is nothing in this world Ken loved more than his family. He was a devoted son, husband, father and Pop-Pop. Ken had a passion for sports, especially watching Addie and Avery play, while Boston College and the Boston Red Sox came a close second. He loved spending time in Cape Cod with his girls, drop-off and pick-ups with Addie and Avery and the family dogs, Tucker and Stella. He is survived by his loving daughter, Jessica Surina Marino; granddaughters Addison Carole and Avery Mary Marino all of Stratford. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Tommy. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd, Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Friday 3 to 6 p.m. in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gotham Place, Trumbull.
