Lawrence N. Kennedy, age 74, beloved husband of Shirley Bargo Kennedy, of Ocala, Florida, died Sunday, January 11, 2009. Lawrence was born in LaGrange, Maine, son of the late Daniel and Vivian Trafton Kennedy and resided in New Haven before moving to Florida over 16 years ago. He retired after 20 years as a Captain for the State of Connecticut Correctional Department. Lawrence enjoyed time with his grandchildren and fishing his favorite spots in New Hampshire. In addition to his beloved wife of 30 years, he is survived by his loving children, Jane Droniak and husband Douglas of Sandy Hook, Lora Kennedy of Naugatuck, Donald Gladue, Jr. and wife Susan of West Haven and Robin Gladue of Seymour, two sisters, Gayle Savoy and husband Ed and Katherine O'Malley and husband Frank, all of Woodsville, New Hampshire, seven cherished grandchildren, Donald Gladue III, Nicholas Gladue, Kyle Droniak, Curtis Droniak, Kevin Droniak, Shannon Neugebauer and Anthony Mazzadra; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Cindy Kennedy. Funeral services will be held Sunday, at 2:00 p.m. in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place. Interment will be private.
