Lawrence (Larry) J. Madar Sr., age 98 of Bridgeport, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 in his home. Larry was born November 14, 1918 and was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary, wife Grace Papay Madar, his brother Joseph and sisters Ann Mayernik, Mary Mainero, Cecilia Lamson, Rose Baloga.  He is survived by his sons Lawrence J. Madar Jr. (Nancy) of Aiken, SC, Gerald J. Madar of Bridgeport, his grandchildren Lawrence J. Madar III (Jennifer), Scott A. Madar (Denise), Daniel P. Madar (Nemu) and seven great grandchildren Tessa, Clarissa, Alexander, Willa, Lawrence IV, Maximilian, and Lachlan. Larry was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, working all of his life in Bridgeport's various industries. Funeral services will be private with entombment in Mountain Grove Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum.
