Linda Chiota Alex, 63, of Fairfield, daughter of Joan E. Chiota and the deceased John P. Chiota Jr., died on September 22nd of cancer.  She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 40 years Paul A. Alex, daughter Christina M. Alex, son John P. Alex, and his wife Stephanie Martin-Alex, grandson Charles Henry Alex, sister-in-law Paula A. Alex, sister Patricia Chiota and her husband Richard G. Payne, and brother John P. Chiota and his wife Diane T. Chiota. Linda was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Manhattanville College and the University of Bridgeport graduate school. Her charitable works include longtime volunteer work with the Near and Far Aid Society and the Junior League-sponsored Pitchpiper choral group; and tutoring elementary students in reading at Our Lady of the Assumption School.
