Obituary

Lorraine Pereira, age 72, entered into eternal rest and into the loving arms of our merciful savior, Jesus Christ, on December 4, 2025, in the comfort of her home in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She was the widow of Jose DaSilva Pereira, and they shared 26 years of marriage together. Lorraine was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys (Tomatore) Householder.

Lorraine was employed at Cambridge Manor and took pride in caring for the residents that resided there. Lorraine was a devoted wife, and a beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was a member of Brooklawn Seventh Day Adventist Church. In her spare time, she loved fostering and adopting animals and spending time with her family.

Lorraine will be remembered for her zest for life, her compassion towards animals, and the love that radiated from her, which was felt by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all of the lives that she has touched. Her warmth, laughter and unconditional love have filled our lives with joy. Above all, her heart belonged to her family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Lorraine is survived by her son, Joseph Pereira, and her daughter, Lorraine Larocca (John). She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Michael Larocca and Maria Martinez, and her husband, her cousin, and partner in crime, Anne DeGeralomo, nephew Charles Householder (Kimberly) and their daughter, Kayleigh. Lorraine is also survived by Ann Savo, who was like a second daughter to her, and Ann's husband Bob, and their son Robert, who she considered her grandson. Lorraine was predeceased by her brothers, Robert and Raymond Householder and by her dear friend, Karen Parniawski, whom she shared many vacations and memories with over the years. She also leaves behind many beloved cousins and dear friends. Her memories will live on in all of our lives, and we will continue to honor her memory in all that we do.

Friends may call Sunday from 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00a.m., in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull.
