Obituary

Lorraine A. Ouellet Scheibel, age 81 of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Raymond W. (Red) Scheibel, passed away, Friday, May 13, 2011, in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Lorraine was born in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Phillip and Albertine LaVoie Ouellet and beloved granddaughter to Phillomene LaVoie. A resident of Stratford since 1957, Lorraine was a member of the Order of St. Dominic, and received a Recognition Award for Nursing Arts. She was predeceased by her beloved son Raymond W. Scheibel, and is survived by her beloved children, daughter Leslie A. Scheibel, and son Richard W. Scheibel and wife Ann, all of Stratford, two dear grandsons Christopher Scheibel and wife Katherine and Kevin Scheibel, several nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews, cousin Doris Ruggieri and husband Tony; additional cousins, and also dear friends George and Eileen Charlesworth and their children Dory and Zeke of Guilford. Lorraine was also predeceased by her brother Paul Ouellet and three sisters, Therese Ouellet, Claire Reardon, and Lucille Veach. She will be lovingly remembered by all the lives she has touched. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30a.m., meeting directly in St. James Church, 2110 Main Street, Stratford, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
