Louis Renkavinsky III, age 82 of Trumbull, beloved husband of Mildred Nevelus Renkavinsky, died January 17, 2016 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Easton, Louis lived in Monroe before moving to Trumbull in 1988. He was a United States Army Veteran. Louis received his B.S. Degree in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut. He was Superintendent of the Waste Water Treatment Plant for the City of Bridgeport, retiring after 25 years of service. Louis was an accomplished chess player and a member of United States Chess Federation, and an enthusiastic collector of rare and exotic cacti and succulents. Louis loved and was devoted to his family. Survivors include his wife, son Kevin J. Renkavinsky of Trumbull, daughter Wendy L. Renkavinsky of Monroe, brother Richard Renkavinsky of Easton, grandson Brayden Renkavinsky, nephew Aron Renkavinsky, and grandnephews Caleb and Noah. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 in the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
