Lucille C. Russell, age 83, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Ernest Russell, passed away Monday, January 3, 2011, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Lucille was born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late William and Henrietta Ruppel Van Dorn. She was a retired typist for the fur storage department at Jordan Marsh. Lucille was a devoted life member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Bridgeport, active with the Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid Society and the Sunday school programs. In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by a son, Mark V.D. Russell and wife Cynthia of Ridge, NY, a daughter, Debra L. Marks and husband Gary of Bethel, five grandchildren, Adam R. Marks and wife Kate, Jonathan E. Marks, Lynsie K. Marks, Laura E. Russell and Katherine C. Russell, a great grandson, Ryan W. Marks and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday (TODAY) 3:00 – 6:00 pm., at the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, with a prayer service to be held at 4:00 pm. by the Rev. Jimmy Coffey. Interment will be private in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middletown.
