Mae Simone Marini, age 89, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 25, 2007. She was born in Bridgeport March 5, 1918 to Dominick and Anna Simone. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Her grandkids and great grandkids brought much joy to her life. She was predeceased by her son Joseph, brothers Art, Andy, Patsy, and David, sister Julia and niece Anna May Pascarell. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Franko of Florida, daughter-in-law Mary Marini of Bridgeport, brother Joseph Simone and wife Mary of Massachusetts, seven grandchildren, Greg Marini of Massachusetts, Kim Killoy and husband Tom of Monroe, Tracy Alterio and husband Dennis of Redding, Jon and Michelle Franko of South Carolina, Lauren Franko and Alvin Valdez of Colorado, Tricia and Todd McNutt of Maryland and Paul and Lanett Franko of Colorado. In addition she had 16 great grandchildren, 8 boys and 8 girls and several nieces and nephews. We would like to extend our gratitude to the staff of Cambridge Manor in Fairfield. Friends may gather on Tuesday at 10:00am at St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
