Marc R. Poirier, age 98, beloved husband of the late Freda Forsyth Poirier, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020. Marc was born in New Bedford, MA, son of Louis and Cora Poisson Poirier and had been a longtime resident of Bridgeport, before moving to Seacrest in West Haven. He served during World War II with the U.S. Army - Air Corp and received a B.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design. Marc retired as a design engineer for Sikorsky Aircraft and was an artist who loved to draw and sketch and was known for his caricatures. Survivors include four devoted children, Roger L. Poirier of Bethel, Diane J. Riccio and husband Carl of Watertown, Robert D. Poirier and wife Christine of Bridgewater and Linda S. Ryan of West Haven, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Thomas Ryan. Funeral services will be private. Burial with full military honors will be in Mountain Grove of Easton Cemetery.
