Marcella E. Chamberlain, age 89 of Trumbull passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold R. Chamberlain. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of James and Mary Ann O'Reilly Dowling. She retired as a secretary of Madison Middle School in Trumbull, and enjoyed a long career in banking and as VP of the family's construction business, H. Chamberlain & Sons. Marcella was a 50 year member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Gaelic American Club. Marcella loved her bus trips with her friend Terry Murphy "Friends of Marcella and Terry" and her big circle of friends.  She is survived by her loving sons, Brian H. Chamberlain and Kevin H. Chamberlain and his wife, Meredith, all of Trumbull, her brother James Dowling of Massachusetts, two grandchildren, Alex and Addie, and her beloved cousins, Allyson McLaughlin and her husband, Gene and David Johnson and his wife Carol. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 AM meeting directly in Saint Stephen Church, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow and Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
