Margaret Tierney Barrella, age 62, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Peter Barrella, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023, in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Margaret was born in Norwalk, daughter of the late John L. and Frances Lawson Tierney. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her devoted son Peter-John Barrella of Hartford, two sisters Frances T. Cummings and Alice T. Prunotto, both of Norwalk, father-in-law Peter Barrella and wife Joan, a brother-in-law Alan Barrella and wife Lisa, all of Florida, a niece Rachel Winslow and husband Peter, a nephew Joseph Prunotto and wife Alison, three great-nieces Megan and Julie Prunotto and Kaylee Winslow, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:15a.m., from the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, and at 11:00a.m., in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Sunday from 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m., in the funeral home.
