Margaret Mary FitzGerald Donovan age 91 of Fairfield died Saturday, September 12, 2009 in her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul E. Donovan. Born in Bridgeport she resided in Fairfield 50 years. Mrs. Donovan received a Bachelor of Arts degree from College of Saint Elizabeth with a major in Latin. She loved the beach and swimming, and completed the New York Times crossword puzzle each Sunday correctly in pen. Survivors include her loving daughters Mary Ann Donovan and her husband Gary Vincze of Fairlfield , Paula D. Sobolewski and her husband Richard of Bridgeport, Claire Demotses and her husband Carl of Naperville, IL, four beloved grandchildren, Barry Sobolewski and his wife Janet, Brendan Sobolewski and his wife Tara, Brian Sobolewski, Brigid Pollack and her husband Bill, five beloved great grandchildren, Casey, Molly, Benjamin, Annie and Owen Sobolewski. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her brother and sister, Lawrence and Catharine FitzGerald. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30am directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial.
