Margaret "Marty" Grogan Maney, age 96 of Easton, beloved wife of the late Charles S. Maney, passed away peacefully Thursday evening April 9th. Margaret was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late John and Alice Lyddy Grogan, and was a resident of Easton for sixty years. She was co-owner of Bridgeport Industrial Uniform with her late husband. Marty was a talented artist and enjoyed painting at the Easton Senior Center, as well as other center activities. She enjoyed all activities that involved her husband and children including snow skiing, waterskiing, boating and her summers at Hardings Beach in Chatham Cape Cod. Survivors include her devoted children: a daughter, Christine and husband, David Danker of Wilbraham MA, sons, Charles Maney III and wife, Martha of Marblehead MA, Timothy Maney and wife, Elaine of St Johnsbury VT, Patrick Maney and his wife, Donna Nelson of Shrewsbury MA, and Thomas Maney and wife, Judith of Redding, Ct. a sister, Catherine (Kay) Sorge of Trumbull, Ct., twelve cherished grandchildren: Sheila, David Charles, Jillian, Brenna, Tim, Elizabeth, Nathan, Shannon, Charlie, Daniella, Ryan and Sarah, and seven loving great grandchildren : Kaelan, Rian, Maggie, Declan, Arlo, Henry, and Alice, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Maney and three brothers and two sisters: John Grogan, Alice Ervin, Mary Magner, Dr. Joseph Grogan and Dr. David Grogan. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00a.m., meeting directly in Notre Dame of Easton Church, 655 Morehouse Road, Easton, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. There will be no prior calling hours.
