Margaret M. (McLoughlin) Reilly, 94, of River Ridge, Avon, beloved wife of 68 years of the late William G. Reilly, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2011 following a long illness. She was born on May 1, 1916, in New Haven, daughter of the late John and Mary McLoughlin. She lived most of her life in West Haven, Cheshire and Branford before relocating to Sarasota, FL, where she resided until returning to Connecticut in 2006. She was a graduate of Albertus Magnus College, worked for many years in the administrative offices at Cheshire Academy and was active in the Catholic Charity League. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and always put the interests of others ahead of her own. She enjoyed spending time with family, entertaining, listening to big band music and playing bridge with friends. She is survived by two sons, William G. Reilly, Jr. and his wife Pamela of Norcross, GA, and David J. Reilly and his wife Louise of West Simsbury; four grandchildren, Christine Amaya and her husband John of Ann Arbor, MI, Megan Bayless and her husband Ben of San Clemente, CA, Timothy Reilly of Norcross, GA, and Shannon Reilly of New York City; and two great-children, Reilly Bayless and James Bayless of San Clemente, CA. She also leaves behind a sister, Mildred Higgins of Hamden and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Helen Healey, Vina McDermott and May McGrail and one brother, Jack McLoughlin. Friends are invited to attend graveside services Friday at 11:30am in St. Michael's Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue, Stratford, please follow Redgate signs after entering main gate.
