Margaret Anton Soltesz, 86, a native of Bridgeport, died Monday, July 21, 2008 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield. Margaret was the daughter of Mary Sheerin Anton and Frederick Anton. She was predeceased by her husband, Steven Soltesz and her youngest daughter, Jean Soltesz Blake. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Frederick Anton, George Anton and Marie Anton. Margaret is survived by her son, Gary Soltesz of Franklin, TN and her daughters Karen Kachele and her husband Andrew of Easton, and Rose Ganser and her husband Bob of Fairfield. Margaret cherished her grandchildren Fredrick Kachele, Stephen Soltesz, Michael Soltesz, Clayton Kachele, Stephanie Ganser and Ryan Ganser. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Jewish Home for the Elderly for the loving care she received from them and their pleasant interactions with her. The family would also like to thank the doctors and their office staff who have cared for Margaret over the years. These include Drs .Pamela Hoffman, Raymond Gabriele, Jack Chuong, Arnold Dorosario, Jeffrey Kaplan, Peter Boone, Kenneth Maiocco, Vincent Manjoney, John Manning, Lawrence Muldoon, Amit Rastogi, and Joseph Tortorello. Margaret's family will cherish her memory including her fierce pride in the City of Bridgeport, her love for the New York Yankees, her enjoyment in keeping the grass trimmed on the edges of her sidewalk and her gardens neat and tidy. She helped us all to see the beauty in life. Services were private. The family requests that anyone who wishes to celebrate Margaret's life may do so by planting a flower, pulling a weed, eating a piece of chocolate or doing a kindness for some one else.
