Margaret Mary Daly Stapleton age 77 of Trumbull died Friday August 5, 2011 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of James F. Stapleton. Born in New York City she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Lynch Daly and Mother of the late Brian P. Stapleton. Peg was very active in the community. She was Founder and active member of Compassionate Friends Local Chapter, a Hospice volunteer for over 25 years, and member of the Women's Auxiliary at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She taught religious education at St. Charles School in Bridgeport and worked at the Mercy Learning Center. Peg was an avid tennis player and loved to read. Survivors in addition to her husband include her children and their families, sons, James F. Stapleton Jr. and his wife Debra and their children Christopher and Shannon of Gilbert, AZ, Mark T. Stapleton and his wife Kimberly and their children, Caitlin and Kevin of Milford, Paul M. Stapleton and his children Sara and Caroline of Milford, daughter Kathleen Schultz and her children, Lauren, Jeffrey Jr., Erin and Megan of Trumbull, her brother John Daly and his wife Jean of Old Saybrook, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her son she was predeceased by two sisters, Rita Seperack and Joan King. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:00am from the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 9:00am in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Monday 3-8pm.
