Marguerite V. DeWard McEvoy, age 80, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late James R. McEvoy, passed away Monday, March 15, 2010, at Bridgeport Hospital. Marguerite was born in New York City, daughter of the late Andrew and MaryAnn McGovern DeWard. She was also predeceased by a daughter Marianne McEvoy of Williamsport, PA. She had volunteered for the Kennedy Center, enjoyed playing bingo and retired from the University of Bridgeport where she worked in the cafeteria.  Survivors include her beloved children, two sons, Walter E. McEvoy and Gene J. McEvoy, both of Bridgeport, two daughters Marguerite Petruccelli and husband Daniel of Bridgeport and Barbara Moser and husband Phil of Williamsport, PA, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 am meeting directly at St. Patrick Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michaels' Cemetery.
