Marguerite Duggan Tantalo, 93, died peacefully on February 26, 2014 at Griffin Hospital with her loving husband Joseph M. Tantalo of 75 years by her side.  She was born in Bridgeport, the only child of James and Mary Ellen (Keegan) Duggan.  Marguerite's life was a model of truth, virtue and devotion exemplified by the endless care of family members throughout her life. She also found time to care for and entertain residents of Bridgeport Manor for many years where she served as a volunteer with loving compassion.  Marguerite was truly a woman for the ages who has certainly earned a rightful place in heaven by her extraordinary gifts of kindness and love for family and others.  In addition to her husband, Marguerite is survived by two daughters Patricia Gallagher of Glastonbury and Candace Whetstine and her husband George of Huntington, and a son Joseph and his wife Charlene of New Haven, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Pihonak, a son, James J. Tantalo and a granddaughter, Nicole Tantalo.  Funeral services will be held Monday, March 3rd at 10:30 a.m. meeting directly at Saint Joseph's Church, 424 Coram Avenue, Shelton, with a Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.  Friends may call Sunday, March 2nd, 3-7 at the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
