Marie Pires Goncalves, age 93 of Monroe passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Goncalves. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of Alexander and Albertina Pires. Survivors include her loving sons, Charles Goncalves and his wife, Lynn of Bridgeport and Robert Goncalves and his wife, Joan of Stratford, grandchildren, Kristen Johansen and her husband, Roy and Robert Goncalves and his wife, Audrey, great grandchildren, Sklyer, Avery, and Colin Johansen and Lucie and Charlotte Goncalves, brother-in-law, Jack Rodrigues, nieces and nephews, Dolores "Mimi" Pereira, Donna D'Angelo, Charlie Fernandes, and Jack Rodrigues Jr, and dear friends Gary and Lea Adams. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her three sisters, Linda Mages, Aldoria Fernandes, and Gloria Rodrigues. Funeral services will be private.
