Marie D. Piquette, age 94, of Bridgeport, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 in St. Joseph's Center. Marie was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late William and Mary Gillespie Piquette and lived many years in Florida before returning to Bridgeport. She was employed with Daniel's Department Store in Miami, FL and with the U.S. Postal Service. She was predeceased by two brothers Edward L. and William J. Piquette, and a nephew, William Piquette.  Marie was a thoughtful and kind aunt to her many nieces and nephews including Louise and Michael McDermott of Atlanta, GA, Susan and David Padua of Stratford. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 9:00 AM., meeting directly at Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Road, Stratford, with a Mass of Christian Burial, Interment following at St. Michael's Cemetery.
