Marie E. (Spillane) Rose, October 10, 1923 – December 11, 2016. A wonderful lady left us Sunday.  She will be remembered with profound love by her four children, Maureen (Bob) Toth of Litchfield, Frank (Debbie) of St. Petersburg, FL, Michele (Jack) Nilan of Monroe,  Andrew (Rhonda) of Johnstown, PA.  Ten grandchildren, Paul (Nilda), Chrissy, Geoffrey, Katie (Brad), Kira, Chris, Sean, Robby, Abby & Noah and two great-granddaughters, Lyric and Lennon. Marie was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Julia Spillane, husband Frank, sisters, Gerry, Peggy and Connie and brothers Dan and Tom.  She is survived by her brother Jack of Virginia Beach, VA, sister-in-law Jackie Spillane of Madison and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She retired at the age of 72 from People's Bank where she formed lasting friendships with many, especially Pat, Joan and Virginia. She enjoyed phone calls with all of her grandchildren always telling them how much she loved them and so proud of their many accomplishments.  Marie treasured all of her wonderful family and friends and her smile will be missed by Lorraine and Tom whom she considered family and all her neighbors and friends at Bishop Curtis Homes, especially, Mercedes and Pepa.  With a deep and abiding faith in the Lord, she begins her journey to the next life where she will be reunited with her beloved husband, Frank, and loved ones. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:15am from the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10:00am in St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Friday 4-8pm at the funeral home.
