IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mark
Ladyko
May 1, 1953 – September 24, 2025
Mark Ladyko died on September 24, 2025, after a year-long illness. Born on May 1, 1953, in Bridgeport, CT, he was a 1971 Shelton High School graduate and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona, in 1975. During his career he held various sales and management positions, retiring from JC Penney as a warehouse supervisor. His interests and passions were broad. He was a lover of art, film, music and sports, and was a fervent Chicago Bears fan. Having once worked as a Stable Manager he could be described as a horse whisperer, as the horses loved and trusted him as much as he loved them. His greatest joy in life was being a devoted husband to his adoring wife Lourdes and a doting "papa" to his treasured stepdaughter Michelle Cuellar, whom he raised from the age of five. He possessed a keen intellect and quick wit and could always be counted on for a good laugh, especially during holiday family gatherings. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Patricia and Emil Ladyko. He leaves a lifetime of happy memories to his siblings: Patricia and partner Robert Willard; Nancy Burroughs; Beth; Brian, wife Michelle and son Timothy; Eileen; Gary, wife Christa and stepdaughter Brooke. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 11:00a.m., meeting directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Avenue, Shelton, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at a later date. Friends may call Tuesday, from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and 4 Gorham Place, Trumbull.
