Martha Kaechele of Bozrah, CT, formerly of Trumbull, passed away at Norwich Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday October 15th, 2024, after battling cancer. She was born in Bridgeport, CT on March 9th, 1941, and was the daughter of Randall and Beatrice (Lesiewicz) Frost. Martha married her high school sweetheart Walter E. Kaechele on May 27th, 1961. They made their home in Trumbull, CT where they lived until June of this year. Martha devoted her life to helping others. She was employed by the Trumbull Police Department as a Matron, however her most fulfilling position was that of school crossing guard for 50 years. She was a past member of The Order of Eastern Star and was a devoted member of Christ Church Tashua for many years. She enjoyed crafting, flower arranging and looked forward to judging the floral design competition at The Big E every year. She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Whether it was school events, sports activities, livestock shows, or renaissance fairs, she was always there supporting and cheering from the sidelines. Besides her husband of 63 years, Martha is survived by her daughter Lisa Pestey of Lebanon CT, and her son Walter R. Kaechele (Tamblyn Donzella) of Warwick, New York, as well as granddaughters Brittany Guinan (Kevin) of Bozrah, and Kelly Pestey of Lebanon; and two great-grandchildren Aubreigh and Ryder Guinan. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters Alexandra Panuczak, Brenda Hachtman (Steve), and Lois Palmer (Scott). She was predeceased by her brother Raynor Frost. Calling hours will be held at Redgate Hennessy Funeral Home in Trumbull, CT on Sunday October 27th from 10am - 1:00pm, with a service immediately after. A reception at Testo's Restaurant in Monroe will follow. Interment will be held Monday October 28th at 11:00 a.m. in Windham Cemetery, Rt 203 Windham CT.
