Martin F. Kane Jr., age 51, of New Haven, died Saturday, July 28, 2007 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Martin F. Sr. and Agnes Kane. Martin was raised in Trumbull and graduated from St. Theresa Parish School and Trumbull High School. He was the former proprietor of Marty Kane's Delicatessen and most recently Marty's Merchandising. He was a former member of the Trumbull Jaycees. Survivors include his four loving children, Jayson T. Rahmlow of Fairfield, Martin F. Kane III of Torrington, Ross C. Kane of New Haven, and Tiffany Kane of New Haven; three brothers and one sister, John M. Kane and wife Beth of New Jersey, Michael J. Kane and wife Diane of Fairfield, Gerald J. Kane and wife Linda of Daytona, FL and Mary (Meg) Johnson and husband Eric of Bridgeport; his best canine friend, Kobe, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and the mothers of his children, Jane Kane and Shari Rahmlow. A celebration of Marty's life will be held Wednesday, at the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Beginning at 7:00 p.m. there will be an hour of sharing stories, memories and photos.  All are welcome to join in this remembrance by bringing stories and photos of Marty.  In lieu of flowers the family would prefer contributions in his memory to The Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
